About me: Current Position: Currently, I am a Professional Growth & Effectiveness System (PGES) Consultant who serves superintendents, principals, other district and school leaders in supporting teachers in 17 districts in the northern Kentucky region. For the past three years I worked with these same districts in the field and led a Mathematics Teacher Leader Network as the region's Mathematics Specialist. In that capacity, I worked with K-12 teachers in using research-based, Highly-Effective Teaching and Learning strategies to teach mathematics, and the Common Core State Standards/KCAS, specifically. I am a free resource to Kentucky public school districts and spend most days 'in the field' working with school principals and district leaders in the Teacher Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (TPGES) and the Principal Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (PPGES).
Formerly, I was a high school principal (4 years) and taught high school mathematics, regular and College Board AP, for twelve years prior to becoming a school administrator. I received my Rank I certification (Instructional Leadership--Principalship) from Northern Kentucky University, and my Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Georgetown College.
On a personal note, I am a wife and mother of three sons.
