This professional development focuses on the mathematics content and practice standards (K-12). There are strong emphases on conceptual understanding, making connections across the standards, and teaching to the rigor that the standards require. Individual needs of districts, schools and teachers determine the focus of professional development. It's most effective when it involves teachers across 2-3 consecutive grade levels, or at single grade levels, with ongoing follow-up on the implementation of the teaching strategies.
There is no charge for Kentucky Public School Districts. Jenny Ray works closely with 18 school districts in Northern Kentucky.
